Healthy Chocolate Mousse


Sounds like an oxymoron right? How can a chocolate mousse be healthy?! Well, I kid you not…This mousse contains just three ingredients! The secret ingredient… avocados! Yes, you read that right. Trust me when I say they make the best dessert!

Many of the foods that I cook with have added health benefits. The benefit to you is enhanced recovery, boosted immunity and extra energy. What is not to like about that?! Healthy Chocolate Mousse

Healthy Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • 4tbs maple syrup
  • 3 tbs raw cacao

Instructions

  1. Scoop out the contents of the avocados and place in a blender, with the cacao and maple syrup and blend until smooth.
  2. Dish out into small bowls and refrigerate for a couple of hours.
  3. To serve, I add a few cherries or raspberries and flaked coconut.
  4. It can be quite bitter, so if you have a sweet tooth, add more maple syrup.
